Stories at your level, about anything
Reading is a cheap way to meet a lot of words, as long as the text is at the right level. Too hard and you're decoding every line. Too easy and nothing new goes in. Read writes to your level.
How it works
- Ask for a story or an article on any topic. An A1 story is about 120 words in the present tense. At C1 it reads like a good magazine.
- Or paste any text, an article, song lyrics, a recipe, and read it with the same help.
- Tap a word to see what it means and save it as a card.
- Listen to it read aloud, or read it aloud yourself and see how each word came out.
- Answer three quick questions at the end to check you followed it.
Your words come back
Stories bring in words you're learning, so a card you added on Monday turns up in Wednesday's story.
