Videos and podcasts with a transcript you can tap
Native speakers talking about things they care about is the best listening practice there is, and the hardest. A transcript you can tap lets you start sooner.
How it works
- Pick a channel or a podcast. Each language has a few to start with, and you can add your own by searching or pasting a link.
- Follow the transcript. Tap a word and playback waits while you read what it means.
- Tap a time to hear that line again.
- Save words as cards as you go.
Good to know
A video without captions in your language gets its captions translated, and the page tells you the words won't match exactly what's said. A podcast episode is transcribed the first time anyone opens it, so it can take a moment to be ready. Episodes over 90 minutes don't get a transcript.
