Words and phrases

| tuition | the money you pay for classes | How much is tuition for one class? |

| enroll | officially join a school or a class | You can enroll online until September 1. |
| financial aid | money from the government or a college to help pay for school | You can apply for financial aid online. |
| a prerequisite | a class you must take before another class | Is there a prerequisite for this course? |
| credits | points you get for each class you pass | You need sixty credits for the degree. |
| online classes | classes on the internet | Do you have online classes too? |
| a grade | a mark for your work (A, B, C...) | Each paper gets a grade from A to F. |
| go back to school | start studying again as an adult | My mom decided to go back to school at fifty. |
