| umständlich | long-winded, clumsy | Der Satz ist ziemlich umständlich formuliert. |
| kürzen | shorten, cut | Den Text solltest du um ein Drittel kürzen. |
| streichen | cut, delete (a word or sentence) | Diesen Satz würde ich komplett streichen. |
| prägnant | concise, succinct | Formulier es lieber kurz und prägnant. |
| der rote Faden | the common thread | Der rote Faden fehlt noch ein bisschen. |
| flüssig | smooth, flowing (of a text) | Jetzt liest sich der Text viel flüssiger. |
| Füllwörter | filler words (das Füllwort) | Streich die Füllwörter, dann wirkt es stärker. |
| die Wortwiederholung | the repeated word | Die Wortwiederholung im ersten Satz stört. |
